Research and Transfer

The objective of the IEC “Smart Energy” project in the area of scientific improvement is to position itself as a research centre of excellence. As such, the programme’s anticipated strategic lines have been implemented from the outset of the IEC, the main actions having been started, which contribute to the current positioning of the university and its group. Also, with the aim of strengthening the URJC-UAH collaborations and increasing the scientific richness of IEC “Smart Energy” project, both universities have invested in areas they were less competitive. In the case of the URJC, notable progress has been made in research into energy-related Smart Infrastructures (Smart Grids), and the UAH have increased their efforts in lines of research and work in Bioenergy and Clean Energies.
