Board of International Advisors

The Board of International Advisors (BIA) is the IEC advisory body, and has the role of advising both the Executive Committee and the management. It is comprised of notable representatives from the business sector and international organisations, namely: the REPSOL LPG and Marketing, Refining, and Technology Director (Felipe Fernández) the FERROVIAL CI3 Smart Infrastructures Innovation Centre Director (Rafael Fando), the Chairman of the Bioeconomy Task Force – EU (Alfredo Aguilar), ), who is also the chairman of the BIA, a Consultant to International Higher Education (Chester Haskell) and a Professor from Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil (Celio Cavalcante).They have all been approved by the Executive Committee, and have the necessary ability and experience to guide and advise the aforementioned Committee. The IEC Technical Office provides administrative support to the BIA, meeting once or twice a year, keeping a written record of their agreements and recommendations.
